Job Opportunity - Pediatric Critical Care Physician - South Carolina

Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekend coverage with 24-hour shifts from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Monday. On-campus position with call responsibilities.

Highlights:

Collaborative teaching environment - rounds with 2-3 pediatric/ED residents, overnight call with 1 resident
Comprehensive critical care unit including medical, surgical, neuro ICU, level II and III NICU, and pediatric unit
Full-service facility with 24-hour radiology (X-ray, CT, MRI), laboratory with 2-hour turnaround, and operating room access
Multidisciplinary support including cardiology, pulmonology, neurology, gastroenterology, and multiple surgical specialties
Epic EMR system with point-of-care ultrasound capabilities
Weekend-only schedule managing average census of 11 pediatric patients

Requirements:

Board Certification in Critical Care required
Active South Carolina medical license (IMLC not accepted)
PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications required
DEA registration required
Minimum 1 year of critical care experience; must be out of training and practicing for at least 2 years
Clean malpractice history required
Flu vaccination required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions only)
Epic EMR experience preferred
