# Job Opportunity - Physician, Cardiology - West Virginia Start Date: November 2026 (ASAP for emergency privileges) Location: Southern West Virginia Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants Schedule: 2-3 weeks of coverage per month; Clinic hours Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; When on hospital call: clinic hours Monday, Wednesday, Friday 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, and Tuesday, Thursday full days; 24-hour call (minimal night-time calls) Highlights: - 6-month locum tenens assignment with option to extend - Manageable patient volume: 22-24 patients per day (30 minutes for new patients, 15 minutes for established) - Comprehensive cardiology practice including evaluation and management, cardiac risk assessment, EKGs, Holter monitor placements, pacemaker checks, stress testing supervision, TEEs, and cardioversions - Supportive clinical team including technicians and registered nurses - Adult patient population (18+) - Teams-based interview process Requirements: - Active West Virginia state license (IMLC accepted) - DEA and CSR required - Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience - Proficiency in EKG interpretation, TEE, and nuclear stress testing - Clean background check required - Board certification in Cardiology preferred Why It's a Fit: This opportunity offers an excellent balance of inpatient and outpatient cardiology in a supportive team environment.
