Start Date: December 14, 2026
Location: North Carolina
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Thursday (8-hour shifts) plus Friday half day; 5 days per week; 12-15 patients per day
Highlights:
- One-year contract (52 weeks) in an outpatient Infectious Disease specialty practice
- Adult patient population with focus on HIV care and comprehensive infectious disease management
- Collaborative environment with RNs, CMAs, and physicians providing multidisciplinary support
- EPIC electronic medical record system
- Predictable Monday-Friday schedule with balanced caseload of 12-15 patients daily
- Credentialing timeframe: 60-90 days
Requirements:
- Master's Degree in Nursing (NP) or Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- Valid North Carolina RN and NP License OR Valid North Carolina PA License
- Board Certification through ANCC, NCC, AMCB, AANP, PNCB (for NPs) or NCCPA (for PAs); PAs must be board certified within 1 year of hire date
- Valid DEA license
- BLS (CPR) certification - American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider required
- Minimum 3+ years of experience required
- Recent experience with HIV patients is essential
Responsibilities:
- Perform in-office physical assessments, review medical histories, and interpret diagnostic tests
- Conduct preventive health screenings tailored to patient age, history, and unique needs
- Provide patient and family education on infectious disease conditions, treatments, and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate patient records across all care touchpoints
- Perform office-based specialty care procedures in accordance with clinical guidelines
- Identify opportunities to improve outpatient specialty care through clinical assessment and evaluation
