CRNA - Anesthesiology

This role requires a true generalist comfortable across a wide range of cases and open to in house call. Providers focused solely on OB will not be a fit.

Assignment Highlights:

• Location: Des Moines, IA
• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Full time coverage required
• Call: In house call required (varies, including weekends)

Practice Setting:

• Mix of hospital and surgical center environments
• Level II Trauma Center
• Approximately 45 Anesthesiologists in the group
• 28 operating locations

Clinical Scope:

• Full spectrum of cases including:
  • General surgery
  • Orthopedics
  • Urology
  • Robotics
  • Cardiac
  • Pediatrics

Requirements:

• Comfortable practicing as a generalist across multiple specialties
• Proficient in:
  • Regional anesthesia
  • Spinal and epidural anesthesia
• Cardiac cases: TEE certification required
• Pediatric cases: Fellowship required
• Will work independently at times, with support from CRNAs and tech staff
• Occasional CRNA supervision may be required

Systems & Environment:

• EMR: Epic + paper charting
• Mix of team based and independent coverage

Credentials:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• ACLS and BLS required
• Flu vaccination required
