Job Opportunity - Cardiology Physician - West Virginia

Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants
Schedule: Monday through Friday clinic hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with 24/7 call coverage; 4-5 consults per day; 1-2 after-hour calls per day

Highlights:

• 6-month contract with potential for extended full-time coverage or 2-3 weeks per month
• General cardiology practice in a 122-bed community hospital setting
• Full clinic days see 20-25 patients; half clinic days include 4-6 morning tests and 12-15 afternoon patients
• Comprehensive cardiac services including stress testing, echoes, TEE, cardioversions, and pacemaker clinic
• Cerner EMR system with support from MAs and one RN
• Primarily adult patient population aged 50 and older

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Cardiology required
• Active state license or IMLC; temporary license accepted
• DEA registration required
• BLS, ACLS, and TEE certifications required
• Certified to perform and interpret nuclear medicine stress tests, exercise stress tests, EKGs, echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms
• Credentialing timeframe: 30-45 days
