Job Opportunity - Pediatric Gastroenterologist - South Carolina

Housing/Travel: Lodging recommendations available; to qualified applicants

Schedule: Weekend coverage from Friday 3:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM (times negotiable). Three days per week, ongoing weekly need. Manages 8-12 patients per day during weekend shifts.

Highlights:

Consult service focused on pediatric gastroenterology in a 50-bed community hospital setting
Diverse patient population including newborns, pediatrics, and adolescents (equal distribution across age groups)
EPIC EMR system with testing option available for experienced users
Standard of care includes management of urgent cases such as acute bleeding
Scoping procedures performed at discretion of provider for urgent weekend cases
X-ray interpretation skills preferred

Requirements:

Board Certification in Pediatric Gastroenterology or Gastroenterology required
Active or willingness to obtain South Carolina medical license (IMLC not accepted)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
DEA and CSR required
Minimum 2 years post-training clinical experience
Must be at least 2 years out of residency/fellowship training
Clean malpractice history required
Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered); MMR and Varicella required (waivers accepted)
Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days with active SC license; up to 5-6 months without active state licensure
