Job Opportunity - Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider - Virginia

Schedule: 5 shifts per month, 12-hour shifts with rotation between days, nights, and weekends. Primarily night shift coverage needed. Day shift manages 8 mixed acuity patients; night shift manages 20-30 patients.

Highlights:

• Level 4 NICU with 64-bed capacity utilizing Epic EMR
• 13-week contract with option to extend
• Complex case mix including ECMO support, intubation, line placement, lumbar puncture, ventilator management, PICC, UAC and UVC
• Opportunity to participate in high-risk deliveries and work autonomously
• Fellows manage ECMO patients with APP support
• Part-time and PRN shift flexibility available

Requirements:

• Board Certification in Neonatology required
• Valid Virginia state license (or ability to obtain; processing time approximately 8 weeks)
• DEA and CSR required
• BLS and PALS certifications required (must be current and AHA-certified)
• Minimum 2 years of NICU experience with neonatal training
• Level 4 NICU experience within the past year is mandatory
• High-risk delivery experience required
• Must be able to work independently and autonomously
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (no exemptions)
• Must reside at least 50 miles from facility location
• Two professional references required with application

Note: Time off requests must be submitted upfront and approved prior to contract acceptance. Requests exceeding 5 consecutive days will not be approved during summer months. Credentialing timeframe is 45-60 days depending on state licensing.
