Job Opportunity - Neonatal Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Virginia

Schedule: 3-5 shifts per month, 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation; primarily night shift coverage needed; part-time and PRN shifts available; must be flexible for weekend rotation
Highlights:
- Level 4 NICU with 64-bed capacity serving high-acuity neonatal and infant populations
- Advanced procedures include ECMO support, intubation, line placement, lumbar puncture, ventilator management, PICC, UAC, and UVC
- Epic EMR system in use
- Patient load: 8 mixed acuity patients on day shift; 20-30 patients on night shift
- 13-week contract with option to extend
- Autonomous practice environment requiring independent clinical judgment and Level 4 NICU experience
Requirements:
- Board Certification in Neonatology required
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience; must be neonatal trained
- High-risk delivery experience required
- Level 4 NICU experience and ability to work independently mandatory
- Active DEA and CSR required
- BLS and PALS certifications required (must be valid and completed through AHA)
- ACLS certification required
- Virginia state license required by start date (allow 8 weeks for processing)
- COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required with no exemptions
- Credentialing timeframe: 45-60 days
