Notes: No Malpractice | # Of ORs: We run 8-11 OR rooms daily for 7-8 blocks, depending on types of surgery blocks scheduled and procedure volume. Outpatient GI Center has two procedure rooms and the Inpatient GI area runs 2 procedure rooms | Covid Vaccine Required: Yes with exemption forms available
Required Exp: Types of Cases: Cardiac surgery, neuro, general surgery, plastic, pulmonary, ortho, spine, gyn, urology, OB, cath lab, IR, EP and GI. Estimate 90% of cases are performed by a physician themselves. All cardiac cases are completed by a physician. When working with CRNAs he may be with one or two but that would only occur if he would be the anesthesiologist in charge for the day.
CRNA Specific Info: The CRNAs will do their own UGRA blocks, and will work independently unless requesting help.
Regarding CV cases: FS does about 225 CV cases per year now. We have 4 CV MDs in our model, so 50 CV cases per MD. Their call coverage will be 1:4, and we assume that they will do general cases in addition to CV.
Using very rough estimates: total case volume is about 13,900 per year. If we assume 13,000 daytime cases and 16 total providers, total case volume per provider is a bit over 800/yr. For the CVs, that would mean 50 CV cases and 750 general cases.
