PA - Urgent Care Medicine - Oakland, California

Unit Details: Urgent Care Clinic – Attached to main medical center
Daily Patient Volume: 3 Patients per hour – Estimated 24 Patients per 10 hour shift (Although they could see more patients depending on day/volumes)
Additional Providers/Support Staff: Physicians, other PA’s, and MA’s/RNs for Support

Lic/Certs: Active CA lic | BLS, ACLS | PA Controlled Substance Course
BC/BE: BC

Credentialing Timeframe: Estimated 60+ Days from time application is submitted
Start Date: ASAC
Duration: 13 Weeks with option to extend, as needed
Shift: Every other weekend – 4x10 hour shifts weekly. 10:45 AM - 9:15 PM; Flexibility preferred but plan on working Tuesday & Wednesdays weekly with other shifts schedule around those days. No Call.

Housing/Travel: All Inclusive
Notes: Covid Vaccination Preferred – will consider waivers. Reason for Coverage: Maternity Leave

Required Exp: Urgent Care & Same Day Visits. Flue, Cold, Suturing/X-Ray Readings, I&D, Fractures, Toenail Removal. Emergency Medicine experience preferred as they will need to be comfortable with Higher Acuity patients that are experiencing Dizziness, Chest Pains, Cardiac Care, Imaging, Labs. Over ½ of cases are higher acuity to where the patients are not severe enough to go to the ER but need to be treated. Must have experience with patients of all ages– birth to death.
